Do I need any gym experience to train with you?
No, you don't need any gym experience at all. I specialise in helping complete beginners feel confident walking into PureGym Aberdeen Shiprow — every session is tailored to exactly where you are right now. No judgement, just genuine support from day one.
What if I feel self-conscious in the gym?
That's exactly why I do this. Body confidence is my specialism — I've trained people who started out terrified of the gym floor and now own their space in it. Your first session is about meeting you where you are, not where anyone else thinks you should be.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes, completely free and no pressure. We'll sit down, talk through your goals, your history with fitness, and what you'd actually enjoy. If it feels like a fit, brilliant. If not, you walk away with a clearer plan and zero obligation — and that's a win either way.
Do you train women, men, or both?
Both. I work with anyone who's ready to build confidence in the gym and love the body they train in. My coaching style is warm, encouraging and focused on YOU as an individual — not a one-size template.
What if I'm not trying to lose loads of weight?
Weight loss is one of my specialisms, but it's not the only thing I coach. Persistent motivation, feeling stronger, building gym confidence, breaking through a plateau — all fair game. Tell me what you actually want on the consultation and we'll build from there.
